The Silverfern Backpackers Hostel is an upmarket backpackers located on Hobson Street just a short walk from the Auckland City Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Sky Casino and, Sky Tower, the Intercity Bus Terminal, cinemas, banks, supermarkets, shops, art galleries, museums, restaurants, cafes, pubs & nightclubs. The hostel is designed in a warm and inviting modern style with a chpice of 12 Bed, 8 bed, 6 and 4 bed female and Mixed Share Dorm Rooms as well as Single Double, Twin and Triple Private Rooms both with and without private en suite bathroom. All rooms are well appointed with your comfort in mind, offering highest-quality pillow-top mattresses, complemented with crisp white cotton sheeting and TVs in all private rooms.
The Auckland Silverfern Backpackers Hostel has all the modern accommodation facilities a backpacker requires to make the most out of their stay. The very spacious communal TV room & main lounge are open 24 hours. Igloo TV with movie and film channels is available. The main lounge is a great place to relax and read a book or to play board games or catch up with friends. Relax and play pool or Table Soccer with your new friends in the Games Room.
Clean and modern bathrooms have been designed to be spacious with 24 Hour hot showers. A spacious, fully equipped self-catering modern kitchen with ovens, microwaves, fridge etc is available to guests. It is well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and other bits and pieces. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided. Breakfast is included during winter. A spacious and highly comfortable dining area is also attached to the kitchen. There is an indoor dining area as well as seating. The outside courtyard & BBQ area is a great area available for guests from 8.00am – 10.00pm - a nice place to relax in the sun and enjoy the BBQ Parties.
There are 2 Lounges, one with cinema style seating and Sky TV for films and Sports.There is a payphone available on site, a coin operated guest laundry with washing machines and dryers, printing facilities and photocopying services. A secure lock-up room is available for guests to store luggage/bikes. Valuables can be left safe and secure at reception while you venture out and explore around Auckland – a small charge applies. Maximum of 3 nights stay in 12 bed dorm then you have to upgrade to 8 bed dorm. You must be less than 45 years of age to stay in a dorm otherwise you must stay in a private room.
