The furniture is old-fashioned and homely - wicker armchairs and big four-poster iron beds adorn the older rooms. The newer rooms are a bit smaller, but still very charming, with wood-panelled walls and pine furniture. Even the single rooms have their own balcony overlooking an internal courtyard.
There's plenty of sitting space, including a very charming terrace out the front, complete with lots of greenery.
Inside, the walls of the corridors are hung with historical sepia photos and funky pieces of retro art.
The Brisbane Manor doesn't sacrifice convenience for character, however, the kitchen, bathrooms and lounge areas are all well maintained and spotlessly clean.
The facilities are fantastic. Brisbane Manor provides a stainless steel communal kitchen, there for you to use as you wish. Cleaned daily and fully equipped with all you need including utensils and crockery, the kitchen can be used every day until 9.00pm.
