San Remo is situated at the southern entrance to Western Port Bay. A bridge in the town centre provides a link from the mainland to the popular holiday destination of Phillip Island. Only 1.5 hours from the Melbourne CBD, San Remo's has a number of shops and cafes running along Marine Parade which runs parallel to Phillip Island Road and the bridge across to the island. For a longer sojourn with nature, the George Bass Coastal Walk is a beautiful cliff top walk from the beach in San Remo to Kilcunda.
